Here we go. First entry into a heretofore unconsidered blog. As I strive to develop my voice, I'll certainly have a better idea of format and content. For now, I'll do my best to honestly express what's on my mind, hopefully with a touch of wit, sarcasm or irony.
Today is 9/25/07, and I've spent a good part of my day in my 12 year old son's hospital room, watching him recover from a wicked viral meningitis. I can tell he's recovering, because he's belching loudly, and annoyingly offering repeated requests to use my computer. Two days ago he couldn't stand the sound of a nurse's voice when she was asking if he needed anything.
I'm not quite sure about how much identifying information to give out on a blog. I don't know who will ever see it, but as blog virgin, I want to practice safe blogging. Perhaps this is just a different way to keep a diary. Where can I hide it so my sister doesn't get a hold of it? What do I do if I lose that little key that unlocks the diary? What type of self respecting Souperman blogs"?
